Visa for language courses in Spain

If you wish to study at our school for more than six months and do not have residence in Spain, you will need a long-stay visa (more than 180 days).

Documents to apply for a national visa for Spain

– A visa application form completed and personally signed by the applicant, in duplicate.

– 2 colour photos, 3,5×4,5 cm in size.

– 2 copies of a passport valid for the duration of the applicant’s stay in Spain; 2 copies of a passport valid for the duration of the applicant’s stay in Spain.

– Copies of the active pages of the passport.

– Original of the national passport + copies of its active pages.

– Proof of accommodation for the period of study in Spain.

– Health insurance.

– Proof of financial means (based on 579,02 euros per month per person, unless it is proven that the accommodation has been paid in full; financial guarantees can be a bank statement, a salary certificate with a description of the position and the amount of the applicant’s salary, as well as a sponsorship letter if the travel is paid by a family member).

School documents:

– School enrolment document.

– Certificate of accreditation from the Instituto Cervantes.

If the duration of the course is longer than six months, it will be additionally required:

* A translation into Spanish of a health certificate issued at least three months before the date of the application. This translation has to be approved by the legalisation department of the Spanish Consulate General.

* Criminal record certificate issued by the police, with translation into Spanish, certified by the legalisation department of the Consulate General of Spain in Moscow, the Hague Apostille will be placed on the certificate;

The diplomatic mission or the Spanish consulate may require the applicant to appear in person and conduct an interview.
They will review the documents and make a decision within one month of submission.

The applicant must collect the documents from the consulate no later than two months after the decision is announced and proceed to study.

If the period of study is longer than six months, the foreign student must apply for the foreign student card within one month of arrival in Spain.
