FESTIVALS
Canarian people are known for their friendliness and kindness, aspects
that can be seen reflected when they celebrate festivities or parties.
One of these parties are the
Carnivals, which are considered
the second best carnivals in the world after Rio de Janeiro´s Carnivals.
During the festivity people enjoy being together for a few days on the
streets and the city is completely crowded with people dressed in
amazing costumes.
But if you really want to enjoy the most characteristic atmosphere of
the islands, you cannot miss the popular festivities that take place
between March and September and are known as “Romerías” (pilgrimages).
In these people dress in the typical costumes of the different islands
and enjoy the most traditional festivals.
And, of course, we cannot overlook the great nightlife we find in cities
such as La Laguna, Santa Cruz or Playa de Las Americas.
GASTRONOMY
In the Canary Islands we can enjoy typical very simple dishes as well as
delicacies. Some of these dishes are “papas arrugadas” (wrinkled
potatoes), fish, different cheeses (among which are many with
international awards), mojo (Canarian sauce), barraquito (Canarian
coffee with cinnamon, condensed milk and lemon) ... dishes that make
Canarian gastronomy well considered by all those who visit the Island. |

WEATHER
Thanks to the geographical situation of the Canary
Islands we can say that here you can find the famous
"eternal spring" by which they are internationally
known. Although you can go through different different
temperatures and climates from one part to another of
the island on the same day, we have to say that we
generally have a temperature around 20ºC in winter and
25ºC in summer. This makes the Canary Islands the
perfect place to practice outdoor sports such as
surfing, hiking, etc.
BEAUTY
From the first moment that you arrive in the Canary
Islands you will begin to enjoy the landscapes and
characteristics of the place. In Tenerife a walk around
in El Teide National Park, El Monte de Las Mercedes, El
de La Esperanza, Los de Anaga, by Masca ... will make
you fall in love with the island immediately because of
its beauty and contrasts. |
